Job summary

Winged Wonder Institute of Education in Makati is seeking a dedicated SPED Teacher to identify student needs and implement individualized programs. You will monitor progress, adapt lessons, and work with families and staff to support comprehensive education for students with disabilities.

The role involves developing IEPs, mentoring assistants, and guiding students through transitions while collaborating with teams to meet goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field with SPED units.
License is an advantage but not required.
Relevant experience with children with special needs is an advantage but not required.

Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assess students’ skills to determine needs and develop teaching plans.
Adapt lessons to meet student needs and collaborate with other teachers.
Collaborate with parents, staff, and professionals to provide a supportive educational experience.
Develop and monitor IEPs for each student.
Teach and mentor students individually or in groups.
Implement and track IEP progress and update goals.
Discuss progress with parents and school staff.
Supervise and mentor teacher assistants working with students.
Prepare and assist students in transitions between grades and after graduation.
Perform relevant academic tasks as required by management.
