Qualifications

• MD degree from a recognized medical school.
• Licensed Physician in the Philippines with a PRC license.
• Completed residency training in Internal Medicine.
• PTR and other professional credentials.
• Current BLS certification.
• Board-certified or diplomate in Internal Medicine preferred/required per credentialing.
• ACLS certification an advantage.
• Experience in hospital, outpatient, or clinical practice.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Sound clinical judgment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical history-taking and physical examinations.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment and management plans based on clinical findings.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate labs, diagnostics, and imaging results.
• Prescribe medications and treatments per standards and regulations.

About the role

The Doctor of Internal Medicine is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients through the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. The physician will ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical history-taking and physical examinations of patients

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions

• Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans based on clinical findings and established standards of care

• Request, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory, diagnostic, and imaging results

• Prescribe medications and other appropriate treatments in accordance with accepted medical practice and applicable regulations

• Monitor patients' clinical progress and modify treatment plans when necessary

• Coordinate and collaborate with specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team

• Refer patients to appropriate specialists or healthcare services when indicated

• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive healthcare

• Recognize and appropriately manage patients with urgent or potentially life-threatening medical conditions

About you

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized medical school

• Licensed Physician in the Philippines with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license

• Completed residency training in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution

• Valid Professional Tax Receipt (PTR) and other applicable professional credentials

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Board-certified or diplomate in Internal Medicine is preferred or required depending on hospital credentialing requirements

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is an advantage

• Experience in hospital-based, outpatient, or clinical practice is an advantage

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
