Global Staff Network is seeking an Intermediate Estimator to support tendering and pre-construction activities for structural steel projects.
Based in Matina IT Park, Davao City, the role focuses on developing accurate estimates, reviewing docs, coordinating pricing, and preparing tender submissions. The position is onsite with a 7AM–4PM schedule from Monday to Friday.

The Intermediate Estimator will support the company's tendering and pre-construction activities for structural steel projects. The role will focus on developing accurate project estimates, reviewing technical documentation, coordinating pricing, and preparing tender submissions.
The position will work closely with management and project stakeholders to ensure project costs and requirements are accurately assessed before tender submission.
Review tender documents, specifications, and structural drawings.
Complete quantity take-offs and material calculations.
Prepare project estimates, pricing schedules, quotations, and tender submissions.
Identify scope gaps, missing information, and discrepancies within tender documentation.
Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain estimating records, pricing databases, and cost benchmarks.
Review pre-drafted construction drawings and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to clarify technical requirements.
Support project managers and management during tender and pre-construction activities.
Assist with improving estimating processes and workflows.
Support the implementation and use of estimating platforms, including Estimate One.
Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in structural steel construction, steel fabrication, or a closely related field.
Experience with construction quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender preparation.
Experience interpreting structural drawings, engineering documentation, and project specifications.
Practical understanding of structural steel fabrication and installation.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong ability to identify discrepancies and scope gaps.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and tender deadlines.
Australian construction industry experience.
Experience in mining, industrial, infrastructure, commercial, or shutdown projects.
Experience with Tier 1 contractor tendering.
Knowledge of Australian construction standards and practices.
Experience using Estimate One.
Experience using Groundplan or similar take-off software.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline preferred.
Structural steel, steel fabrication, or construction estimating experience is required regardless of academic discipline.
