Job summary

Madamba Builders seeks an Interior Designer to develop interior design concepts, layouts and material palettes for projects in Quezon City, Philippines. You will prepare detailed drawings and specifications, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, and review samples and shop drawings.

The role requires a PRC licensed interior designer with proven experience in decorating spaces, space planning, lighting, and material selections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design is required (must hold PRC license)
  • Proven experience in decorating interior spaces, space planning, and new constructions
  • Expertise in space planning, layout, color schemes, lighting, materials, and installations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or similar tools
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop interior design concepts, layouts, space plans, and material palettes based on project requirements
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and material schedules
  • Coordinate interior design requirements with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other consultants
  • Review and approve material samples, finishes, mock-ups, and shop drawings
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the implementation of design plans and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, revisions, specifications, and site reports
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, accessibility standards, and project guidelines
  • Assist in project scheduling and coordinate design deliverables to meet construction deadlines
  • Conduct punch-list inspections and monitor rectification works through project completion
  • Support the project team during turnover, including final inspections, as-built documentation, and close-out requirements

Job description

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.
  • Must be willing to be assigned in Quezon City.
