Job summary

Quality Choices Corporation is seeking an Interior Designer to plan, design, and enhance interiors. You will create floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and drawings, select materials and finishes, and coordinate with contractors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Interior Design or related field, plus licensing/registration as applicable. Strong portfolio and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field.
  • Professional license/registration as required in practice country.
  • Strong space planning, color theory, materials, lighting, furniture and styles knowledge.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D modeling and rendering tools.
  • Creative ability to develop innovative, functional and visually appealing concepts.
  • Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, scheduling, coordinating contractors, suppliers, and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail in measurements, specs, materials, finishes and drawings.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, construction methods, and sustainable practices.
  • Internship or professional experience and a strong design portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Interior Design Concepts based on client needs, budgets and timeline.
  • Plan space layouts to maximize functionality and comfort.
  • Prepare design drawings including floor plans, elevations, 3D models.
  • Select materials and finishes within budget and project requirements.
  • Meet with clients to discuss requirements and expectations.
  • Create project budgets and monitor costs.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers.

  • Manage project timelines and coordinate activities to completion.

Interior Designer - is a professional who plans, designs, and enhances the interior spaces of buildings to make them functional, safe, and visually appealing. They combine creativity with technical knowledge to create environments that suit the client's needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop Interior Design Concepts – Create design concepts based on the client’s needs, preferences, and budget.

  • Plan Space Layouts – Arrange furniture, fixtures, equipment, and spaces to maximize functionality and comfort.

  • Prepare Design Drawings – Create floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and other technical drawings.

  • Select Materials and Finishes – Choose appropriate furniture, fabrics, flooring, lighting, colors, and decorative materials.

  • Meet with Clients – Discuss requirements, design ideas, budgets, timelines, and project expectations.

  • Create Project Budgets – Estimate costs for materials, furniture, labor, and other project requirements.

  • Coordinate with Contractors – Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other professionals.

  • Monitor Project Progress – Visit project sites and ensure that the design is being implemented correctly.

  • Ensure Compliance – Make sure designs follow applicable building codes, safety standards, and regulations.

  • Manage Project Timelines – Track deadlines and coordinate activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

  • Source Furniture and Materials – Research suppliers and obtain suitable products and materials within budget.

  • Resolve Design Issues – Identify problems during implementation and provide practical design solutions.

  • Maintain Design Quality – Ensure the finished space meets the required standards for aesthetics, functionality, and quality.

  • Stay Updated on Trends – Keep up with current interior design styles, technologies, materials, and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Professional License/Registration: Must meet the applicable licensing or registration requirements in the country where they practice.

  • Design Skills: Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, materials, lighting, furniture, and interior styles.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D modeling, and rendering tools.

  • Creativity: Ability to develop innovative, functional, and visually appealing design concepts.

  • Communication Skills: Able to understand client requirements and clearly present design ideas.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage budgets, schedules, contractors, suppliers, and project requirements.
