Job summary

3M is seeking an Intercompany Order Specialist to manage international orders across SAP and legacy systems, coordinating with source locations and 3PL freight forwarders to ensure timely exports.

The role requires 2+ years in customer service, SAP experience, and strong Excel skills. You will support ERP deployments, maintain SOPs, and uphold 3M’s compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level university degree or higher.
• Team Player.
• Flexible for ad-hoc assignments (SAP deployment, migration projects).
• 2+ years of experience in Customer Service.
• SAP experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, macros).
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Lean Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage intercompany orders using SAP and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with supply chain, 3PL, and regional teams to export international orders on time.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations for international shipments.
• Handle inquiries from 3M international subsidiaries and resolve escalations.
• Improve customer satisfaction and internal processes.

Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.Job Description:Major Duties and Responsibilities:• Manages intercompany orders utilizing Corporate ERP (SAP) and/or Legacy Systems COMS (Corporate Order Management System), IOMS (International Order Management System), Salesforce, BPCS, Lotus Notes databases and etc. where applicable.• Work directly with source of supply locations, BG/division supply chain, functional work streams and/or 3PL freight forwarders to ensure the timely export of international orders.• Understands and supports the export rules and regulations to comply with source country and international Export Regulatory policies and procedures for international shipments.• Manage inquires/communication from/to 3M international subsidiaries regarding product availability, order status, expedites, etc. Follow up on escalations, delays and transportation issues.• Ensure timely completion of Customer Feedback Resolution complaints for assigned countries.• Identify opportunities and implement solution to improve customer satisfaction and/or processes.• Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and corporate policies and procedures such as Compliance, Global Financial Standard, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.• Provide back-up support to other Intercompany team members as required.• Support Intercompany, Plant & Country ERP deployments as required.• Review and maintain documentations, SOPs and job aids as required.• Good time management in daily operations• Basic understanding of ICO modelQualifications:• Bachelor level university college degree or higher.• Team Player.• Flexible in taking ad-hoc assignments as needed (i.e., work transitions/migrations, SAP and/or other connected application (CAP) deployment activities, lead continuous improvement projects, etc.)• +2 years of experience in Customer Service• SAP Experience• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge in Excel (i.e., formulas, macros) is a plus.• Self-motivated, fast learner, willing-to-learn and works with minimal supervision.• Must have high client service, quality oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
