Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead end-to-end integration of assembly and test manufacturing processes, reviewing all changes for thorough approval. You will drive structured problem-solving across multiple processes, equipment, materials, and test systems in a 100% onsite manufacturing environment.

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration of assembly and test manufacturing processes whereby no changes will be implemented without his/her thorough review and approval
• Lead structured problem-solving and root-cause investigations involving multiple processes, equipment, materials, and test systems.
• Evaluate the impact of process changes, equipment upgrades, material substitutions, software changes, and product design revisions on overall manufacturing performance
• Provide technical leadership during production escalations, critical builds, equipment installation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Coordinate process, equipment, tooling, materials, software, automation, and data interfaces to ensure a seamless manufacturing flow and ensures effective communication and handoff of requirements between global teams and local teams (product, process, equipment, quality and operations)

Education & Experience

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor or optoelectronics with demonstrated experience on process integration

Skills

• Has strong understanding of key manufacturing processes like eutectic die bonding, ball wirebonding, thermal cycling, stress testing, etc
• Ability to integrate process, equipment, tooling, materials, software, automation, data, and product requirements fom end to end of the manufacturing flow
• Proven problem-solving skills in identifying system-level interactions, process gaps, variation, and failure mechanisms
• Has strong knowledge of manufacturing qualification and validation methods, including DOE, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, MSA/GR&R, and process capability analysis
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority and able to work on ambiguity
• Excellent technical communication, presentation, documentation, and collaboration skills with strong strong analytical thinking, ownership and attention to details

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite w orking in a manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, and cleanroom environment.
• Regularly interacts in production areas, laboratories, equipment, process and cross-functional teams.
• May require occasional support outside regular working hours during critical builds, investigations, or production escalations.
