DFI Retail Group is seeking an Integration Engineer to design, develop, and onboard API endpoints on the API gateway, enabling seamless integration across internal and external systems. You will troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain the API platform to ensure optimal performance.
You will collaborate with IT and business teams to align integrations with requirements, review processes, and support secure, scalable API implementations in a fast-paced environment.
The Integration Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and onboarding of API endpoints on the API gateway, facilitating seamless integration between DFI's internal and external systems. This role also involves troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining the API platform to ensure continuous optimal performance.
The Integration Engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure system integrations align with business requirements, review processes, enhance production service delivery, and ensure compliance with IT strategy, security policies, and guidelines while meeting business timelines.
Prepare functional and test data and monitor and support testing activities which include API performance and code optimization as required
Integrate 3rd party services through APIs and standard integration methodology and tools to deliver quality results on time, with minimal supervision
Determine the design and framework conversion of the integration to meet technical requirements, aligned with the business process, and ensure system and hardware integration has met the organization needs
Define and drive integration strategies and methods with principal and lead architect aligned with the defined deadline using the selected tool and strategy and meeting the specifications required based on scope of work
Communicate and collaborate with relevant teams to understand requirements using the defined architecture frameworks and guidelines in integration and API implementation aligned with IT strategy
Provide expertise in API protocols and frameworks in building secured, maintainable, and scalable APIs
Create and maintain API specification and documentation, document integration processes and create user guides for team use
Verify and test integration points based on assigned tasks related to support activities and requests, and projects if required
Carry out investigation and provide initial assessment and root cause analysis to help in collaborative analysis and prevent future issues
Build an automated system performance monitoring and generate reports on recurring issues to preemptively address potential problems and enhance overall system reliability
Involved in transition process and knowledge transfer activities that support teams by conducting knowledge-sharing sessions
