Job summary

Energy Development Corporation is seeking an Insurance/ Risk Management professional to coordinate and implement an effective insurance program for the company’s insurable risks, on commercially reasonable terms. The role includes advising on projects, contracts, and transactions related to insurance and risk, and administering key policies across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3+ years in insurance, underwriting or claim processing preferred.
• Basic non-life insurance course is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills are essential.
• Good oral and written English communication is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement an effective insurance program for insurable risks.
• Provide expert advice on projects, contracts and transactions related to insurance and risk.
• Administer key insurance policies for the company.
• Assist in insurance claims to ensure timely notification, filing, documentation, adjustment, settlement and payment.
• Manage annual risk surveys by insurer risk surveyors.
• Provide orientations on insurance policies and claims handling as needed.
• Prepare and present insurance reports and risk assessments to the Insurance Advisor.
• Suggest process improvements and cost-effective insurance solutions.
