Job summary

Igloo is seeking an Insurance Partner Management & Negotiation professional in the Philippines to build and maintain relationships with local and regional insurers, negotiate product offerings, premiums, and coverage terms, and explore digital-first insurance solutions.

You will collaborate with Operations, Product, Commercial, Finance, Legal and Compliance to shape go-to-market strategies, manage insurer agreements and SLAs, and provide leadership with regular updates on placement activities

Qualifications

• University degree in Insurance, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• BNL or SUITS or equivalent professional training in insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional insurance providers to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Negotiate product offerings, premium rates, and coverage terms to secure competitive solutions.
• Collaborate with insurance partners to explore opportunities for new, digital-first insurance products.
• Maintain and regularly update insurer contact database, scheduling regular insurer visits, reviews and meetings.
• Assist in drafting and coordinating insurer agreements, SLAs, and formal communications.
• Work with internal teams to refine insurance product development processes and align go-to-market strategies.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on placement activities, partner negotiations, and product development progress.

Insurance Partner Management & Negotiation

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional insurance providers to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Negotiate product offerings, premium rates, and coverage terms to secure the most competitive solutions for Igloo’s markets.
• Collaborate with insurance partners to explore opportunities for new, customized, and digital-first insurance products.
• Maintain and regularly update the insurer contact database, establishing a structured cadence for regular insurer visitations, reviews, and meetings.
• Assist in drafting and coordinating insurer agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and formal communications.

Insurance Product Development & Delivery

• Work with internal teams (Operations, Product, Commercial, Finance, Legal and Compliance) to refine and align insurance product development processes.
• Provide insights into market needs, trends, regulations, and competitor activity to shape product design and go-to-market strategies.
• Ensure smooth execution and launch of insurance products in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Coordination & Collaboration

• Act as the key liaison between insurance partners and internal teams to align priorities and deliverables.
• Work cross-functionally to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiencies, and maintain product delivery timelines.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on placement activities, partner negotiations, and product development progress.

• University degree majoring in Insurance, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Passed the Basic Non-Life (BNL) or SUITS program from IIAP, or equivalent insurance industry-recognized professional trainings/seminars.
• 1-5 years of experience in insurance placement, underwriting, or broking within the insurance industry. Fresh grads with insurance internships are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound judgment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including advanced spreadsheets, databases, softwares, and AI.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal proficiency.
