Job summary

Astrobase Space Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Facility Operation & Maintenance Instrumentation Technician to support its Rocket Engine Testing Facility in Thimmasamudram, Andhra Pradesh.

The role emphasizes instrumentation maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of PLC and control systems to ensure reliable test operations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on experience with instrumentation, sensors, and safety procedures, plus the ability to read

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and calibration.
PLC troubleshooting and control-panel maintenance.
Reading electrical and PLC drawings for installations and repairs.
Knowledge of industrial sensors and transmitters and associated instrumentation.
Preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
Adherence to industrial safety practices in high‑risk environments.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair PLC panels and control systems.
Read and interpret PLC drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics.
Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation loops, panels, sensors and interlocks.
Identify and rectify instrumentation faults, sensor drift and communication failures.
Calibrate and maintain pressure/temperature/flow/level transmitters; document records.
Ensure safety procedures for high-pressure cryogenic systems; maintain compliance.
Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records and equipment history.
