goFLUENT is seeking an Instructional Designer to drive high-volume content for middle and high school language teaching solutions. This role blends instructional design, digital pedagogy, AI-assisted production, and project management to develop effective teaching content.

You will design activities, curate courses, research edtech trends, lead stakeholder discussions, and manage timelines to achieve business goals. Eastwood, QC-based hybrid setup with global teams and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Native-level or bilingual English proficiency.
• College degree in education/English/linguistics or related field.
• Instructional design expertise and ability to develop digital content strategies.
• Experience teaching young learners or English/languages; middle/high school settings; or writing/editing for young readers.
• Strong problem-solving, research, and critical-thinking to evaluate curriculum standards and edtech trends.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and apply feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Engaging presentation skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Growth mindset and commitment to continuous professional improvement.
• Proficiency in office software suites and willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop activities that build language, critical thinking, and real-world communication skills.
• Curate and organize courses meeting curriculum goals and business requirements.
• Research curriculum standards and edtech trends to identify market opportunities and shape content strategies.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to establish project scopes and objectives.
• Schedule, monitor, and adjust project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with stakeholders to update and optimize content on goFLUENT’s platform.
• Perform other duties aligned with evolving team needs.
