Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd is seeking an on-site Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections of silicon optics products. You will verify dimensions, record results, and report non-conformities to QA.

The role supports ramp-up production and demands strict adherence to quality and safety procedures. Candidates should have a vocational/technical background, knowledge of precision measurement, and experience with Digimatic calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical graduate in Manufacturing, Inspection or related fields.
• Knowledge of precision measurement and dimensional inspection.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection preferred.
• Experience using Digimatic calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of silicon optics products based on specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects, scratches, chips, contamination, dimensional abnormalities, and other quality issues.
• Use precision measuring tools such as Digimatic calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Verify product dimensions and appearance according to drawings, work instructions, and inspection standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to the supervisor or QA personnel.
• Perform inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished products as assigned.
• Follow established quality, safety, and 5S procedures.
• Support production during ramp-up activities and increased volume requirements.
• Perform other inspection-related tasks as assigned.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of silicon optics products based on specifications and quality standards.

Working Conditions

• 100% onsite work

• Requires prolonged standing during working hours.

• May involve repetitive inspection and handling activities.

• May be required to work on rest days/Sundays depending on production requirements.

• Must be physically capable of handling materials required for the position.

• Strict compliance with quality, safety, and workplace procedures is required.
