Job summary

Shearwater Health is seeking an Inpatient Quality Analyst to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. As a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder, you will ensure accurate coding for inpatient records and work with providers to clarify documentation for compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BS Nursing with active PRC license.
• Active medical coding certification (CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC) required.
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient medical coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient medical records accurately using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Review documentation to identify correct diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Review medical documentation to identify the correct diagnostic and procedural codes
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies

Qualifications

• Must be a bachelor's degree graduate of BS Nursing with active PRC license
• Must have an active medical coding certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in inpatient medical coding
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as Auditor/QA in inpatient coding account
