Job summary

Tasq Work is seeking an experienced inpatient medical coder to review medical records, assign ICD-10 codes, and determine MS-DRG/APR-DRG classifications. The role requires expertise with Epic or Solventum and 3M tools, and a strong grounding in Coding Clinics and ICD guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient medical coding experience.
• Experience using Epic and/or Solventum (3M tools).
• Certifications CCS/RHIT/RHIA (CIC can be considered if all other requirements are met).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related Allied Medical field.
• Strong knowledge of Coding Clinics and ICD Guidelines, including newborn charts.
• Experience with MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX, and CC/MCC sections.
• Willing to work on-site in Clark, Pampanga or Subic, Zambales.
• Able to take the coding assessment within the 9:00–11:00 AM or 4:00–7:00 PM window, Monday to Friday.
• Available to start within 30 days of job offer.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review medical records to assign ICD-10 diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring correct MS-DRG/APR-DRG classification.
• Efficiently abstract essential data in line with facility guidelines.
• Proactively monitor and manage accounts like Discharged, Not Final Billed, Failed Claims, and Stop Bills to ensure timely inpatient billing processes.
• Maintain high accuracy while meeting quality, productivity, and performance benchmarks using 3M 360 or eCAC systems.
• Keep yourself informed on CMS requirements, CCI edits, HACs, and relevant NCDs and LCDs, including modifiers to ensure clean claims.

Work setup:

100% onsite on any of the locations (Angeles City / Subic)

Work Schedule:

Dayshift schedule with fixed weekends off (shift may vary depending on the client assigned but no chances on going on night shift)

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review medical records to precisely assign ICD-10 diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring the correct MS-DRG or APR-DRG classification.
• Efficiently abstract essential data in line with facility guidelines.
• Proactively monitor and manage accounts like Discharged, Not Final Billed, Failed Claims, and Stop Bills to guarantee prompt and compliant inpatient billing processes.
• Consistently maintain high accuracy while meeting quality, productivity, and performance benchmarks using 3M 360 or eCAC systems.
• Keep yourself informed on the latest CMS requirements, CCI edits, HACs, and relevant NCDs and LCDs, including the proper application of modifiers to ensure clean claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of recent experience as a medical coder doing hardcoding for Inpatient cases
• At least 3 years of experience using Epic and/or Solventum (3M tools)
• With any of the following certifications: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA [CIC can be considered if all other requirements are met]
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related Allied Medical field.
• Strong knowledge of Coding Clinics and ICD Guidelines, including newborn charts.
• Experience with MS-DRG, APR-DRG, PCS, PDX, and CC/MCC sections.
• Proficient with 3M or similar medical coding tools and willing to complete assessment.
• Willing to work on-site in Clark, Pampanga or Subic, Zambales.
• Able to either go onsite for the coding assessment or take it online strictly within the 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm timeframe, Monday to Friday
• Available to start within 30 days of job offer acceptance.
