Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (IP Coder) and Quality Analyst to perform inpatient coding quality audits, DRG validation, and medical record reviews. You will ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and appropriate reimbursement by applying ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and DRG requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience and an active PHRN license. Preference for CCS certification and experience in auditing or documentation review.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of inpatient medical coding experience.
• Active PHRN license.
• Strong DRG coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG, and inpatient guidelines.
• Experience in QA, auditing, or documentation review preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits of inpatient records to validate diagnoses, procedures, ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and DRG assignments.
• Review clinical documentation to ensure diagnoses and DRGs are supported by the chart and guidelines.
• Identify coding discrepancies, documentation issues, and document audit findings clearly and accurately.
