Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking an In-Patient Medical Coder in Pasig to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG codes for accurate billing. You will work with EMRs, ensure HIPAA compliance, and stay current with coding rules while supporting multiple hospital documents.

The ideal candidate has CCS/CIC credentials, at least 2 years of inpatient coding experience, and a strong eye for detail, with the ability to collaborate across remote and local teams.

Qualifications

• CCS/CIC certifications required or equivalent.
• Inpatient coding experience with various hospital docs.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG guidelines.
• Experience with EMR systems and encoder tools.
• Understanding of HIPAA and data confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG codes.
• Ensure documentation supports code choices and complies with standards.
• Collaborate with teams and reviewers to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity in coding assignments.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer rules, and regulations.
• Participate in audits and ongoing training to maintain performance.
• Use EMRs and coding tools per privacy and data security requirements.
