Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Supervisor, Inpatient Coding Auditing - Academy to lead the inpatient coding team, drive productivity, accuracy and compliance, and align with client expectations. You will oversee DRG validation, POA reporting, and UHDDS standards while managing performance and coaching staff.

The role requires CCS/CIC certification, a healthcare degree, and 3 years of inpatient DRG supervisory experience. Strong leadership, communication, and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or related field.
• CCS/CIC certification required.
• 3 years inpatient DRG supervisory experience (ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG) required.
• Strong understanding of DRG validation, POA reporting, and UHDDS standards.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inpatient coding team to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
• Monitor SLAs, TAT, and ensure adherence to client requirements.
• Allocate workloads based on coder capacity and priorities; manage escalations.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, UHDDS standards, and client requirements.
• Track coder performance metrics and provide timely feedback.
• Conduct performance reviews and implement corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with QA to address error trends and remediation plans.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Support automation initiatives and train coders on updated workflows.
• Maintain dashboards and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
• Coordinate with client teams for updates, reporting, and compliance.
