WeSupport Incorporated is seeking a seasoned analyst to join our systems development team. You will analyse business requirements, design effective solutions, and deliver reliable applications for medium-to-complex systems across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, testing, supporting implementation, and providing user assistance. Experience in banking or financial services is preferred, and weekend or holiday work may be required.

Formación

• A college or university degree in a related discipline.
• 5+ years of COBOL, DB2, UNIX programming, systems analysis and design, and testing.
• 5+ years of SQL and Java experience.
• 5+ years of major SDLC tasks and deliverables.
• Strong analysis and ability to understand technical specifications.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or life insurance preferred.
• Familiarity with MS Office and Lotus Notes; macro tools a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and client service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to work on weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct analysis of business requirements and prepare system-level specifications for medium to complex systems.
• Design system solutions that satisfy defined business requirements.
• Develop, maintain, test, and implement modules according to specifications.
• Identify scenarios and prepare comprehensive tests for systems under development.
• Execute test plans during development and testing, and provide UAT support as required.
• Analyse production problems and provide post-implementation support.
• Perform implementation activities including promotions, installation, end-user training.
• Develop and update user, system, and operations manuals.
• Provide project managers with regular updates and status reports.

About the role

Join a systems development team responsible for analysing business requirements, designing effective solutions, and delivering reliable applications for medium to complex systems. You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from program development and testing through implementation, user support, and production issue resolution.

Qualifications

• A college or university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in COBOL, DB2, UNIX programming, systems analysis and design, and testing.

• At least 5 years of experience in SQL and Java.

• At least 5 years of experience with major Systems Development Life Cycle tasks and deliverables.

• Competent systems analysis and design skills, including the ability to understand technical specification documents.

• Experience in banking, financial services, or life insurance is preferred.

• Familiarity with office automation tools such as MS Office and Lotus Notes is required; knowledge of macro programming or report writer tools is preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and client service skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and communicate with stakeholders across management levels.

• Willingness to work on weekends and holidays when necessary.
