Job summary

IT Managers Inc. is seeking an experienced Ingenium Developer to build, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications supporting insurance processes. You will work with COBOL, DB2, SQL, and Java, following SDLC practices and collaborating with analysts, QA, and other developers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT, 4–5 years in software development (mainframe preferred), and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to ensure quality and compliance across the application lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 4–5 years of software development experience; mainframe preferred.
• Proficiency in COBOL programming.
• Proficiency in DB2 and SQL.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, policies and procedures.
• Strong systems analysis and design skills.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Ingenium-based mainframe applications.
• Write, test, debug, and optimize COBOL, DB2, SQL, and Java programs.
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and application enhancements.
• Design and implement solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA testers, and other developers.
• Ensure application quality, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
• Support system testing, debugging, and production issue resolution.
• Apply insurance industry knowledge to support system functionality.
