Job summary

San Miguel Foods is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to establish and maintain servers, network, and devices attached to the network that support SMF and its Manufacturing & Sales processes. You will lead and coordinate LAN/WAN operations, ensure security, patching, and compliance, and collaborate with third-party providers to support business IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in IT infrastructure or systems administration.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization and info security.
• Basic knowledge of servers, storage, backup, cloud technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection, firewalls, vulnerability management and access control is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CCNA, ITIL, Nutanix, Security+) are advantageous but not required.

• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization, and information security principles.
• Basic knowledge of servers, storage, backup, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection, firewalls, vulnerability management, and access control is an advantage.

Responsible to establish and maintain the servers, network, communication infrastructure and all the devices attached to the network which supports SMF and management of projects and initiatives pertaining and related to Manufacturing & Sales business processes.

Primary Functions

1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of SMF IT infrastructure and the topology/ network connectivity being supported
2. Provides solutions in response to users’ technical needs:
   • a. Ensures the optimum performance of all networks, workstations, and operating systems are always operational
   • b. Ensures hardware and software is patched and/or updated
   • c. Guarantees that network connections are operational and in case of reported problem immediately coordinates with SMITS
   • d. Participates in business IT project implementation to ensure that project infrastructure requirements are established
   • e. Tracks the control processes and procedures incorporated in the solutions
   • f. Provides users with appropriate technical support, advice and training
3. Manages the infrastructure projects:
   • a. Coordinates closely with SMITS in monitoring the performance of LAN & WAN
   • b. Directly manages and provides leadership direction to all the implementer and end-users
   • c. Identifies, secures and coordinate resources
   • d. Ensures deliverables are developed and completed on schedule
   • e. Assists in the improvement of business processes
   • f. Assists IT Infrastructure & Information Security Manager in reviewing specification and configuration of the technology being implemented or installed
   • g. Ensures compatibility with the business requirements
4. Prioritizes the implementation of projects to ensure the optimal use of business resources, i.e. people, technological skills and equipment
5. Secondary Functions

Development of Business Information Technology Strategy

1. a. Supports and provides inputs to the IT Manager for Infrastructure in developing IT Infrastructure plan by assessing the situation of the business, determining operating and strategic requirements in key business areas and translate the needs into IT infrastructure projects
2. b. Keeps abreast of Information Technology solutions to:
   • i. Determine applicability to the business requirements
   • ii. Recommend new technologies which aims to improve SMF’s business operations, computer users’ productivity and provide efficient information management.

Information Security Management

1. a. Ensures security of access to the network especially for remote users
2. b. Implements technology which ensure the physical security of critical equipment (i.e. hubs, switches, routers, PABXs etc)
3. c. Regularly updates the IT Infrastructure & Information Security Manager on Information Security Management matters
4. d. Ensures compliance with all IT equipment licensing agreements. Manages and safeguards software media and associated licenses. Tracks software versions.
5. e. Responsible for the discovery, mitigation and documentation of information technology risks
6. f. Collaborates and closely monitors the third-party service providers who are responsible to provide first hand support and troubleshooting
7. g. Maintains confidentiality of organization, projects and personnel related information

Administrative Matters

1. a. Interacts with computer users on all levels and help resolve IT infrastructure-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
2. b. Coordinates the third-party technical staff who provides the internal support
3. c. Monitors and tracks inventory of SMF IT related active and resigned user accounts such as Office 365, SAP accounts, Ariba, etc in collaboration with other IT groups
4. d. Keeps all pertinent documentation of the proposals, minutes of the meeting, updates, etc. related to the projects and programs
5. e. Ensures technology documents/certificates such as product registrations, licenses, maintenance agreements, service contracts rentals and leases related to IT operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed
6. f. Maintains the inventory of SMF’s IT equipment- server, laptop, desktop, switch, router and IT peripherals

10. Assist in other duties as needed and directed.
