Job summary

Universally Speaking in Cebu, Philippines, is seeking a native Indonesian LQA Tester with fluent English to join the Localization Quality Assurance team. You will test games for localization accuracy, report linguistic and cultural issues, and work with PMs and leads to ensure issues are tracked and resolved.

The role focuses on Indonesian localization quality, collaborating with international teams, and meeting project deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Native-level Indonesian language skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong interest in video games and the gaming industry.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to identify and clearly explain linguistic and localization issues.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
• Comfortable working with testing tools and learning new systems.
• Experience in LQA, game testing, translation, localization or QA is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Test games in Indonesian to identify localization, linguistic and cultural issues.
• Review translated text, terminology, grammar, spelling, punctuation and consistency.
• Identify issues affecting Indonesian-speaking players’ experience.
• Verify localized content displays correctly in-game.
• Document and report bugs using testing tools.
• Re-test fixes and confirm issues are resolved.
• Follow project-specific testing guidelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Leads and other LQA testers.
• Meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain high attention to detail during testing.
• Support different game projects and adapt to changing requirements.
