Job summary

Universally Speaking Limited in Manila is seeking a Localization QA Team Lead to guide a growing LQA crew across multiple languages. You will develop test plans, mentor testers, and ensure linguistic accuracy and brand alignment.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, manage schedules, report progress, and help recruit and train new members in a fast-paced studio. This on-site role supports a multicultural, expanding studio environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in LQA/localization with leadership or coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of linguistic nuances and cultural differences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of LQA testers across multiple languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of LQA testers across multiple languages
• Develop and implement LQA test plans, workflows, and best practices
• Oversee linguistic, functional, and cosmetic testing of localized content
• Ensure linguistic consistency, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to brand guidelines
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams regarding LQA processes
• Allocate resources effectively and maintain project schedules
• Track and report on LQA progress, issues, and resolutions
• Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new LQA team members

Requirements

• Proven experience in LQA, localization, or related fields, including leadership or coordination roles
• Familiarity with LQA tools, TMS, and bug-tracking software (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of linguistic nuances, cultural differences, and industry best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in game, software, or app localization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with automation tools for LQA is a plus
