Job summary

MALAGOS GARDEN RESORT INC. seeks a Hydroponic Team Leader to supervise daily farm operations, monitor plant health, nutrient solutions, water quality, and environmental conditions while leading the farm team and keeping accurate production records.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field, with 1–3 years in hydroponics or greenhouse farming, plus strong leadership and communication skills and willingness to work in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Plant Science, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in hydroponics, greenhouse farming, vertical farming, or commercial crop production.
• Leading a team is an advantage.
• Knowledge of hydroponic systems (NFT, DWC, drip irrigation, vertical farming) and understanding of plant nutrition, pH, EC/TDS, irrigation, pest and disease management.
• Good observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in hands-on agricultural environment.
• Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours.
• Basic computer skills for production and inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of hydroponic farm workers.
• Plan and monitor planting, transplanting, growing, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.
• Inspect crops for pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and growth problems.
• Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of hydroponic systems and equipment.
• Maintain records of crop production, nutrient usage, harvests, losses, and farm activities.
• Train and guide team members on hydroponic farming procedures and workplace safety.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and schedules are achieved.
• Identify operational problems and take corrective action.
