We are looking for an experienced Hydrologist to undertake hydrological assessments supporting hydropower feasibility and design. The position will focus on streamflow analysis, flood estimation, and hydrological assessment of tropical catchments.
Conduct hydrological assessments for hydropower projects.
Analyze historical and available streamflow data and develop flow series.
Undertake flow-duration curve and water-availability assessments.
Conduct flood-frequency analysis and estimate design floods.
Assess rainfall, runoff, catchment characteristics, and hydrological variability.
Evaluate hydrological risks and implications for hydropower scheme design.
Develop hydrological inputs for hydraulic and engineering studies.
Assess hydrology of tropical catchments, including data limitations and uncertainty.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and recommendations.
Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and other technical specialists.
Minimum 10 years of relevant hydrology experience.
Demonstrated experience in streamflow analysis and flood estimation.
Experience working with tropical catchments.
Strong knowledge of hydrological analysis, statistical methods, and flood assessment.
Experience supporting hydropower feasibility and design studies.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
