Job summary

Artelia Philippines seeks a senior Structural Design Engineer to develop BIM-based designs for bridges and geotechnical structures. The role uses Tekla Structures to create 3D models, drawings, and quantity takeoffs, coordinating with disciplines to ensure integrated deliverables.

You will contribute from concept to final design, perform concrete and steel detailing, and ensure compliance with project standards within a hybrid work setup in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in structural design or BIM modeling.
• Strong experience using Tekla Structures for modeling and detailing.
• Experience in Tekla concrete and rebar detailing.
• Advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures; custom components/templates.
• Bridge or geotechnical projects experience is an advantage.
• 3D modeling of concrete and steel structures using Tekla Structures.
• Material takeoff and quantity extraction from structural models.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads is an advantage.
• Cut-and-fill modeling using Civil 3D or OpenRoads is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of structural drawings, detailing, and BIM delivery.
• Good communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
• Independent work capability with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for bridges and geotechnical structures using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare structural drawings, details, and documentation from conceptual to final design.
• Perform concrete, steel, and rebar detailing using Tekla Structures.
• Create and manage custom components, templates, and modeling standards in Tekla.
• Develop accurate structural geometry models based on designs and specifications.
• Prepare material takeoffs and quantity estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers and other disciplines for integrated deliverables.
• Participate in discussions on technical approaches, design solutions, and scheduling.
• Review design changes and incorporate into BIM models and drawings.
• Support preparation of detailed bridge and geotechnical components.
• Perform cut-and-fill modeling using Civil 3D or OpenRoads when required.
• Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with standards and quality procedures.
• Participate in technical reviews and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
