Job summary

General Motors Philippines is seeking a senior Simulation Engineer to conceptualize, build, simulate, and optimize discrete event models using Plant Simulation. You will conduct throughput analysis, identify bottlenecks, and optimize logistics across automotive manufacturing lines.

The ideal candidate holds a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Automobile engineering with 10–15 years in automotive engineering, and strong skills in SimTalk2, AutoCAD, Python, and Excel.

Qualifications

BE/BTech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Automobile engineering.
10-15 years in automotive/mechanical allied engineering with simulation
Expert knowledge of Plant Simulation and SimTalk2
Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Visio and MS Office tools
Excel and Python data analysis skills

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, build, simulate, and optimize discrete event models using Plant Simulation software.
Conduct throughput analysis, bottleneck identification, and logistics simulation & optimization.
Understand process flows, analyze data, and represent results in simulation models for improvements.
Provide recommendations to optimize resource utilization, cycle times, and system efficiency.
Lead and coordinate simulation and planning efforts between teams to develop optimal solutions.
Deliver results according to project schedules and quality.
