Job summary

Tyler Technologies in Manila, Philippines, seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the Workforce Mobile team and drive native mobile app development. The role requires partnering with Product, Architecture, and peer teams to deliver high-quality software that serves public sector customers in the United States.

You will mentor engineers, foster continuous improvement, and champion DevOps and Agile practices to ensure reliable, scalable delivery while maintaining a strong talent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams with a track record of delivering complex software on time.
• Experience leading teams that develop and maintain native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and secure, scalable mobile apps.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and modern software delivery practices including CI/CD.
• Experience working in an Agile framework (Scrum or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers building and maintaining mobile applications.
• Partner with product management, architecture, platform operations, and support to align priorities with business goals.
• Coach and mentor engineers; foster continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps to improve delivery velocity and reliability.
• Balance roadmap execution with production issue response and capacity planning.
• Define and track KPIs to measure team health and delivery effectiveness.
• Contribute to product evolution and cloud modernization efforts.
