Job summary

Sapient Careers is seeking a Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in a hybrid setup in the Philippines. You will work with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle to build scalable backend services.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, using PostgreSQL with JPA/Hibernate, deploying to AWS with Kubernetes (EKS), and collaborating across QA, DevOps, Product, and business teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Experience building RESTful APIs for enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience deploying to AWS Cloud with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Familiarity with JWT, JUnit 5, Mockito, and GitHub.
• Comfort with Agile development and collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise systems.
• Develop database-driven applications using PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate.
• Deploy and support applications in AWS Cloud using Kubernetes (EKS).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
