Job summary

Aon is hiring a software developer to help build and enhance digital solutions in a hybrid, globally connected environment. You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with analysts, testers, devops, and project managers to deliver robust, secure software.

You will leverage modern web technologies, APIs and databases, while staying current with AI-enabled practices to improve delivery and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a developer in the technology industry.
Solid understanding of digital technologies, including web development, APIs, databases.
Proficiency in programming languages, design pattern frameworks & scripting (e.g. NET Core 8-10 (LTS), MSSQL).
Experience in modern web UI JS framework (e.g. Angular).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Adaptability and openness to evolving technology as part of stack evolution.

Responsibilities

Develop Aon products by implementing, testing, debugging, analysing, reviewing and all other aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, developers, testers, devops and project managers by providing technical expertise and guidance.
Contribute to the design & architecture of digital solutions and recommending the most suitable technologies and frameworks.
Implement and integrate digital solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards, best practices, and security protocols.
Contribute to architecture, process and quality improvement discussions.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in digital technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization's digital ecosystem.
Support production deployments.
Engage in ongoing professional development.
Advocate the usage of AI tools to improve software delivery throughput and quality.
