Job summary

Western Digital in Laguna, Philippines, seeks a General Ledger and Financial Reporting Accountant (CPA) to join Site Accounting. You will manage statutory reporting, PEZA compliance, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/quarter-end/year-end closures in a hybrid work setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, CPA certification, 5+ years in accounting/audit, manufacturing exposure, and hands-on Oracle or SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting/auditing experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or SAP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain secondary ledger for local statutory reporting.
• Prepare segregated financial statements per PEZA requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analyses.
• Support PEZA registrations and finance projects.
• Create journal entries in line with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Review trial balance and preliminary P&L for accuracy.
• Assist process improvements in accounting and systems.
