Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Solutions Engineer/SDI Engineer to partner with customers, understand their technical needs, and design tailored solutions that address requirements and challenges across networks, security, and systems.

You will collaborate with Sales teams, Business Solutions Managers, distributors and principals to create Bills of Materials, deliver proofs‑of‑concept, and support the sales cycle to ensure a smooth hand‑over to the implementation team and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year experience in a solutions engineering, pre-sales engineering, or similar role.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in relevant technologies and platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about customer needs and solutions.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and support sales activities.
• Experience in Storage, Servers, Hyperconverged, Virtualization and Security.
• Willingness to render extra hours that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities, understand customer requirements, and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Solutions Managers (BSMs), Distributors, and Principals to create tailored fit Bills of Materials for every project.
• Conduct detailed technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our products and services.
• Create Network Design/Architecture based on customer requirements.
• Develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the feasibility and value of proposed solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and technical inquiries.
• Work with BTSG and TSD and other related teams to ensure proposed solutions are viable and aligned with offerings.
• Communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely updates and seamless collaboration across departments.
• Collaborate with the implementation team to facilitate a smooth hand-over process and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to provide informed recommendations.
• Complete required product training and certifications.
