Job summary

Aprio in the Philippines (Mabalacat) seeks an Accountant to handle weekly and monthly client tasks in a fast-paced BPO environment. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and process payroll with attention to accuracy and compliance.

The role favors candidates with a degree in accounting and CPA eligibility, plus 2+ years in BPO, experience with Sage Intacct, Factura, and Bill.com, and strong communication in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting is required.
• CPA license is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years in the BPO industry.
• Accounts payable and/or bookkeeping experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Factura and Bill.com is advantageous.
• Preference for candidates with experience working with Restaurant Franchisees and Hospitality clients.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Handle weekly and monthly accounting tasks for assigned clients.
• Pull reports needed for monthly work from various websites.
• Verify and adjust system generated journal entries per client treatments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and import of bank/credit card transactions.
• Code bank and credit card transactions and liaise with Senior Accountant.
• Record payroll entries and related tax expenses; manage revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support Managers/Project Managers and respond to client requests.
• Assist in process documentation and improvements; cover absence of Senior Accountant.
• Participate in 1099 season preparations.
