Job summary

PathAI is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team in a hybrid role based in Boston, MA. You will manage the month-end close, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and supervise accounts payable, expenses, and collections while leading two accounting staff.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle. Excellent analytical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in an Assistant Controller or similar accounting management role.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing financial statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit processes.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations and consolidations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transaction-level general ledger process and monthly close.
• Supervise revenue recognition process and detail review revenue schedules for accuracy.
• Supervise processing of accounts payable and employee expenses.
• Supervise billing and collections of customer receivables.
• Supervise two direct reports in the accounting function.
