Job summary

ISS STOXX is seeking a motivated accounting professional to join our Finance Team in a hybrid work setup. The role focuses on accurate recording of general accounting transactions and timely period-end close.

You will prepare accruals, post journal entries in SAP, review balances, and coordinate with Cash App, Treasury, Tax and Accounts Payable. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• Experience in using SAP (S/4HANA) or other ERP systems is a must.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong MS Office skills.
• Amenable to a hybrid setup (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home) and a typical 8:30 AM–5:30 PM schedule with potential extension during month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly accruals and records journal entries in SAP (e.g., market data, consultancy, IT, marketing expenses).
• Reviews expenses and balance sheet accounts and prepares reclassifications as needed at period close.
• Provides explanations for significant variances between periods.
• Performs daily posting and clearing of cash interim items.
• Coordinates with Cash App, Treasury, Tax and Accounts Payable teams.
• Prepares monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations; resolves reconciling items.
• Approves invoices weekly and reviews tax code, GL code, entities, currency and amounts for accuracy.
• Supports internal and external audit requirements and strengthens internal controls.
