Job summary

Avaloq is a Swiss-founded provider of wealth management tech with a global footprint. We seek an Application Manager to run Enterprise Data Management systems and support Temenos Data Source in a production environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive automation, and participate in migrations and upgrades. You will join a hybrid, globally connected Service Operations team that serves 30+ banks and focuses on reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in application management, application support, or production operations of business-critical systems.
• Scripting and automation using Bash/Shell in Linux/Unix environments.
• Good Linux/Unix knowledge with troubleshooting, log analysis, job scheduling, and operational support.
• Hands-on experience with Java application servers, preferably JBoss/WildFly, including deployment, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with release management, application deployments, and operational change processes.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases, including SQL scripts.
• Experience with monitoring, incident management, problem management, and service operations.
• Banking or financial services experience is an advantage; Temenos DataSource knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; customer-focused mindset; ability to work independently within international teams.
• Very good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, reliable operation of business-critical applications in production.
• Coordinate releases, upgrades, and operational changes.
• Monitor services, interfaces, and batch processing for quality and availability.
• Manage incidents, problems, and on-call activities.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Develop and maintain procedures, automation, and monitoring.
• Support and improve operational processes and framework procedures.
• Maintain technical docs, manuals, and support procedures.
• Participate in service reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Contribute to migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects.
• Drive automation and standardization to improve service quality.
