Job summary

Coolaire Consolidated Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will read schematics, follow safety regulations, and provide clear recommendations to customers.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical components, control systems, and refrigeration cycles, along with EPA 608 certification. A strong focus on safety and documentation is essential for this position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical or vocational HVAC training preferred.
Experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC controls.
EPA Section 608 Certification and other relevant certifications often preferred or required.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to improve system performance and extend equipment life.
Replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, fans, and filters.
Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and energy efficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Follow safety procedures and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
Communicate with customers about system issues, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
Respond to emergency service calls when required.
