Job summary

India is seeking a PropulsionHVAC & Engine Systems Family Manager to ensure global coherence across modules, platforms, and programs. The role involves coordinating design changes, readiness at milestones, and cost-quality targets, while reporting to senior leadership.

The candidate will oversee safety, durability, and validation studies, partner with manufacturing for feasibility, and lead cross-functional reviews with regional leads, ensuring adherence to internal controls and budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with automotive engine design, components, and testing.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience.
  • Critical character traits: Organized, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate global coherence across Modules, Platforms, Top Hats, and Programs for HVAC & Engine Systems.
  • Monitor and control unit-level activities including design changes, packaging, production standards, and readiness at milestones.
  • Develop responses to vehicle line investigations and lead technical reviews with regional leads.
  • Manage workload deviations, escalation processes, and kick-off sessions for development phases.
  • Ensure cost, quality, performance, and planning targets while complying with Internal Control System rules.

Job description

The PropulsionHVAC & Engine Systems (Fuel, Exhaust, Intake and Cooling) Family Manager will ensure global coherence, commonality, and coordination across Modules, Platforms, Top Hats, and Programs for HVAC & Engine Systems, while reporting program status and milestone reviews to senior leadership.

The responsibilities include monitoring and controlling unit-level activities such as design modifications, packaging issue resolution, production standards, readiness at Stellantis milestones, SCA implementation, KPIs, risk analysis, test plans, sourcing, weight, cost convergence, style feasibility, and validation. The Candidate will manage product safety and durability studies, guarantee process feasibility in collaboration with manufacturing, and oversee plant readiness to secure budget convergence at and after the Contract Milestone. Additional duties involve managing workload deviations, executing escalation processes, coordinating unit team participation in development phases, leading hot housing kick-offs, and supporting regional Sub-System Technical Leads in technical/design reviews and issue resolution. You will also develop responses to vehicle line investigations, control technical solutions for platforms and modules, approve design changes, and address lessons learned across programs and regions. Finally, you are accountable for meeting cost, quality, performance, and planning targets, ensuring compliance with Internal Control System rules.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field
  • Familiarity with automotive engine design, components, and testing

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree with emphasis in Business, Finance, Management, or Engineering
  • PMP Certification

5 years or more in design, development and / or validation of HVAC and Engine Systems (Fuel, Exhaust, Intake and Cooling)
