Hyundai Engineering & Construction is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and oversee Health, Safety, and Environment guidelines at the project/site level. The role requires DOLE-accredited safety credentials and extensive HSE leadership for large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities include implementing HSE systems, ensuring DOLE OSH compliance, conducting risk assessments and audits, and coordinating emergency response programs.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction is looking for an experienced and highly responsible HSE Manager to lead and oversee the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines at the project/site level.
Lead and manage the implementation of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
Ensure compliance with Philippine Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, DOLE requirements, and applicable environmental regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSE plans, procedures, programs, and risk-control measures.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and HSE compliance monitoring.
Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Supervise and guide HSE Officers, Safety Officers, and other safety personnel.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare appropriate reports and recommendations.
Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment, toolbox meetings, and other safety procedures.
Coordinate emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response procedures.
Ensure proper implementation of PPE requirements, work-at-height safety, excavation safety, lifting operations, confined space safety, electrical safety, traffic management, and other construction safety controls.
Must be a DOLE-accredited/qualified Safety Officer, preferably with COSH/BOSH certification and relevant HSE training.
Certified Safety Practitioner.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant overall HSE experience, preferably in large-scale construction, infrastructure, railway, civil works, or engineering projects.
At least 5 years of experience in railway projects.
Strong knowledge of Philippine DOLE-OSH standards and regulations and construction safety requirements.
Experience in HSE management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, safety audits, emergency response, and environmental compliance.
Experience handling multinational construction companies, major infrastructure projects, or Korean contractors is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure construction/project environment.
