Job summary

Baker McKenzie seeks an Applications Engineer, People Solutions, to support and enhance our HR technology portfolio. You will provide technical and functional expertise across HR, payroll, learning, recruitment, and related systems, ensuring reliability, security and governance.

You will collaborate with Product, Portfolio, and Technology teams, manage incidents in ITSM, support upgrades, document processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of the People Solutions landscape.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting enterprise business applications, including HR, payroll, recruitment or learning systems.
Strong understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) and service management.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and functional support for People Solutions applications as escalation point.
Manage incidents and problems through ITSM processes to timely resolution.
Monitor application performance and trends to improve reliability and reduce repeats.
Support upgrades, releases, configuration changes and enhancements with coordination across teams.
Develop and maintain support documentation and runbooks for managed applications.
Collaborate with vendors and MSPs on deployments, security, and roadmaps.
