Job summary

CIMB Bank Berhad is seeking a professional to lead Employment Screening and Reference Checks, Vendor Management, Work Pass Administration, RNF licensing, and regulatory reporting. The role focuses on ensuring timely pre-employment checks, accurate records, and compliance with data privacy and banking regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR, strong data analytics, and proficiency with Oracle reporting tools, MS Office, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business admin, HR, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• 1-2 years of technical HR knowledge.
• Experience with data management and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of banking industry HR practices is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking in people-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-employment screening process and timelines.
• Conduct pre-offer checks: name screening, credit, verification.
• Coordinate and track reference checks across the org.
• Review outcomes and escalate adverse findings.
• Maintain screening records with privacy compliance.
• Liaise with external screening vendor as primary contact.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Ensure MAS outsourcing and governance compliance.
• Support vendor onboarding and contract renewals.
• Prepare regulatory reports for authorities and audits.
• Maintain work pass applications, renewals, and records.
• Stay updated on immigration regulations affecting staff.
