Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Optum, is hiring an HR Generalist in the Philippines. The role will process employee lifecycle changes, manage benefits administration, and support HR operations to meet SLA targets across the organization.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, with knowledge of Philippine labor laws, and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, handle inquiries, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in HR Generalist, HR Benefits Administration, or related HR functions.
• Experience in case management, employee inquiries, issue resolution, and HR support services.
• Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, company policies, and statutory benefits, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Especially EXCEL and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Proven superior customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proven growing analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Proven good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process employee life cycle changes in HR system
• Execute key HR processes such as hiring, position changes, transfers, pay changes, absence management and termination and meet the SLA targets for the process
• Manage and support records management processes which are but not limited to sorting, grooming, scanning, indexing and invoicing
• May be assigned / rotated across related sub-functions, including but not limited to sub-functions within HR Operations and Payroll
• End to end benefits administration process related to statutory benefits - SSS, HDMF, Philhealth and BIR
• Resolve service requests and capture in Case Management Tool
• Escalate complex cases to appropriate resource if additional research or expertise is required
• Uses procedures, policy manuals, knowledgeable tools and/or other reference materials to assist in resolving inquiries or issues
• Recognizes unusual events or consistent problem areas and works with management to resolve arising issues
• Perform quality audits
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees
• Troubleshoot and work with Tier-1 and other support functions in resolving employee queries
• Support of business initiatives as assigned by manager
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, including any changes relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements
