Job summary

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. (Manila) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, and repair a range of mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and timely troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems. Ideal candidates will have a Technical/Vocational background in heavy equipment servicing or related field and 2–3 years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Technical/Vocational course in Heavy Equipment Servicing, Automotive, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
• Preferably 2–3 years or more of relevant heavy equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspection and preventive maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine problems.
• Perform repairs, replacement, adjustment, overhaul, and rebuilding of defective components.
• Maintain equipment such as reach stackers, forklifts, side lifters, terminal tractors, loaders, excavators, cranes, and other mobile equipment, depending on company operations.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, lubrication/greasing, fluid level checks, brake and steering inspection, battery and electrical system checks, and hydraulic system inspection.
• Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
• Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and other specialized tools.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Conduct testing after repairs to ensure equipment is operating properly and safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, inspection, and equipment downtime records.
