Job summary

Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corp. (Manila) is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues across heavy equipment and trucks, ensuring availability and safe operation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, with PME/RME an advantage, and at least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience. You will follow maintenance schedules, perform advanced troubleshooting, and train technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• PME or Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced or complex mechanical maintenance to ensure longevity, reliability and performance.
• Inspect units and collaborate with Planning/Engineering for repair checklists.
• Assemble and disassemble parts, test hydraulics, transmissions and engines during service.
• Evaluate components such as injection pumps and grease joints.
• Adhere to the maintenance schedule set by the Maintenance Planner.
• Set up alerts for equipment when performance deviates.
• Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to prioritize maintenance.
• Investigate failures to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Implement asset health management including inspections and monitoring.
• Collaborate on spare parts inventory for critical components.
• Review and refine maintenance procedures based on data.
• Provide training to technicians on maintenance techniques and safety.
