Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a WFM Scheduler to create, maintain, and optimize employee schedules across healthcare departments using an electronic workforce management system. You will partner with department leaders to meet forecasted staffing, skill mix, and guidelines.

You will handle timekeeping, reporting, and continuous improvement in scheduling processes to promote efficient workforce utilization and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with staffing, workforce management, or scheduling software.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple scheduling priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, balance, and publish employee schedules using the organization's electronic scheduling system in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with department managers to develop accurate daily, weekly, and shift schedules based on forecasted staffing requirements and operational needs.
• Review, approve, or deny scheduling requests (PTO, changes, preferences) based on guidelines.
• Communicate scheduling decisions and updates to department leaders as appropriate.
• Balance and publish schedules at self-scheduling periods' end to ensure coverage and efficiency.
• Assign specialty roles based on operational needs and skill-mix standards.
• Monitor staffing requirements and identify coverage gaps based on patient volume and budget.
• Determine vacancy rates and coordinate incentive/additional shifts to address gaps.
• Maintain accurate department schedules in the scheduling system.
