Job summary

Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to translate business needs into actionable requirements and partner with IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will engage stakeholders, perform UAT, support deployments, and drive process improvement while applying AI-enhanced data analysis and Microsoft 365 tools to boost efficiency and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, information technology, systems support, or related field
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
• Experience supporting business applications, technology solutions, or operational processes
• Experience with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams
• Experience incorporating AI technologies into daily work practices to increase operational efficiency, strengthen communication, accelerate data analysis, and improve work quality through the effective use of Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and Copilot)
• Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and develop actionable recommendations
• Proven solid verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Requirements Management: identify and define requirements, create process flows and documentation, validate with stakeholders, manage conflicts
• Solution Delivery & System Support: support implementation, testing, user acceptance testing, and issue resolution
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: guide on system capabilities, respond to inquiries, prepare reports and training
• Project & Process Improvement Support: manage projects, drive continuous improvement, prioritize work
• Leadership Expectations: accountability, critical thinking, collaboration, continuous learning
