Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver technology initiatives for healthcare organizations. You will coordinate with clinical, administrative and IT teams to drive projects from scope to delivery, while ensuring regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires 7+ years of IT project management experience, 3+ years in healthcare, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, or related field.
• PM certification (PMP) preferred and Licenses/Certifications noted in job description.
• 7+ years of progressive experience managing IT projects and/or other process improvement teams.
• 3+ years IT project management experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with MS Project or ServiceNow; strong Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver technology projects for healthcare organizations.
• Act as liaison between client and Optum Connect for smooth delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines and allocate resources.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative and IT teams to gather requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
• Facilitate meetings and ensure progress tracking is transparent.
