Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced EHS professional to oversee the Occupational Health and Safety program for a major project in Metro Manila. You will implement and maintain the subcontractor's EHS Plan in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and supervise site safety to ensure protocols are followed.

The role requires coordinating with the main contractor’s EHS team, reviewing safety policies, and ensuring timely EHS reporting and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising EHS compliance of subcontractor teams.
• Ability to participate in EHS coordination meetings, inspections, and audits.
• Willingness to travel to project site locations.

About the role

Oversee planning, creation, and implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety program for the assigned project scope. Implement and maintain the subcontractor's EHS Plan and applicable law and regulations. Conduct regular project supervision to ensure safety protocols are being followed at the project site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting safety, health, and environmental inspections to determine compliance with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and relevant EHS laws and regulations
• Monitor, document, and report potential and actual negligence of safety standards at the project site
• Manage and report safety violations, including those committed by subcontractor personnel, and coordinate with the main contractor's EHS team as necessary
• Design, review, and revise safety policies, procedures, and risk control measures as deemed necessary
• Review developmental plans for compliance with adopted safety standards, good practices, and client specifications
• Coordinate specific safety requirements and equipment needs with construction team and subcontractors
• Communicate immediately with the management representative or project manager regarding any high-priority or urgent EHS issues
• Ensure all incident and accident reports are properly recorded, monitored, investigated and addressed
• Ensure timely submission of all EHS-related reports and documentation as specified in the Project EHS Plan, including Safety & Health Performance Record and Environmental Monitoring Reports
• Perform Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) and Aspects/Impacts Risk Assessment Control (AIRAC) for all relevant activities

• Supervised EHS compliance of subcontractor teams, including orientation, training and daily monitoring
• Participate in EHS coordination meetings, inspections, and audits with the main contractor and other stakeholders
• Protect intellectual property, company proprietary information, and maintain confidentiality and sensitive project data
