As the Head of Trade Manager, you will lead the company’s trading business, formulating strategy and business roadmap, overseeing spot and derivatives trading, liquidity and risk control, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.
Trading Strategy & Business Planning
- Formulate long‑term and short‑term trading strategies, market positioning, product layout, liquidity and pricing strategy.
- Develop detailed business plans and OKRs, decompose goals to the team, supervise implementation progress, and ensure achievement of key indicators such as trading volume, liquidity and transaction efficiency.
- Monitor global digital asset market trends, policy changes and competitor dynamics to adjust strategies and seize opportunities.
- Lead research and development of new trading products and services, promoting product iteration and innovation to meet diverse user needs.
Trading Operations Management
- Oversee daily trading operations – order matching, transaction execution, trade settlement and post‑trade reconciliation – ensuring smooth, efficient and accurate system operation.
- Manage trading liquidity, cooperate with liquidity providers, optimise allocation and maintain market depth and stability for improved user experience.
- Establish and improve operational processes and standards, standardise trading team work and enhance efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate with the technical team to optimise the trading system, improve transaction speed, stability and security, and support business expansion.
Trading Risk Management
- Establish and refine the risk management system, identifying, assessing and controlling market, liquidity, operational and counterparty risks.
- Formulate risk control indicators and thresholds, monitor in real‑time, issue warnings and mitigate abnormalities promptly.
- Lead the risk team in regular assessments and reviews, summarise experience and continuously optimise the system.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with the company’s policies and global regulatory requirements to avoid regulatory and operational risks.
Team Management & Development
- Build, manage and develop the trading team, defining structure, responsibilities and performance standards.
- Assign daily work, supervise progress, solve difficulties and foster a positive, collaborative, high‑performance culture.
- Guide professional growth, organise market research, trading skill and risk control training, cultivating a talent echelon.
- Manage performance, conduct reviews, motivate achievement of goals and retain core talents.
Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
- Ensure trading business complies with FATF, MiCA, local regulations and industry standards; cooperate with the compliance team on reporting, audits and inspections.
- Participate in developing and improving the company’s compliance system, implementing requirements across all trading links.
- Respond to regulatory inquiries, provide materials and maintain good communication with authorities.
Cross‑departmental Collaboration
- Coordinate resources with compliance, risk, technical, product and operation departments for integrated trading business.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to formulate promotion plans, user acquisition and activation activities, driving trading volume and user scale.
- Feed user needs and market information to product and technical teams to optimise products and systems, enhancing user experience.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in digital asset or financial trading, 5+ years senior trading team management; preferred exchanges or fintech background; deep understanding of spot, derivatives, liquidity management and trading system operations.
- Professional Expertise
- Proficient in trading strategies, market analysis and liquidity management; proven track record of volume growth and efficiency improvement.
- Familiar with order matching, settlement processes and capable of solving complex operational and technical problems.
- Strong risk‑control awareness; experience establishing and optimising trading risk systems.
- Knowledge of FATF, MiCA and other global regulatory requirements; experience in compliance management.
- Skilled in trading analysis tools and data analysis for performance evaluation.
- Leadership & Management: Excellent team leadership, strategic thinking, decision‑making and resource integration to build and lead a high‑performance team.
- Analytical & Problem‑Solving: Market sensitivity, analytical thinking, rapid response to market changes, identification of opportunities and risks, and effective solution provision.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication in Chinese and English, effective interaction with senior management, regulators, team members and cross‑department colleagues.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related; preferred certifications (CFA, FRM, Series 7).
