Job summary

Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) Careers is seeking a senior leader to drive growth across Indonesia, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. You will own product, data, engineering, and sales, leading a distributed team to deliver new fintech infrastructure and go-to-market initiatives.

You will close strategic contracts, build a data-driven product portfolio, and guide pricing and partnerships while advancing IIX’s mission in impact finance.

Qualifications

• Typically 15+ years in fintech, digital platforms, or technology businesses with commercial ownership.
• Proven track record taking technology products to market with revenue ownership or P&L experience.
• Experience leading distributed, multi-country teams across Asia or similar regions.
• Hands-on understanding of the product development lifecycle: discovery, roadmap, prototyping, release, iteration.
• Strong background in B2B or enterprise sales to institutional buyers (banks, DFIs, investors).

Job description

You will lead a distributed team across Indonesia, India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka:

• Product Leadership — discovery, roadmap, requirements, prioritization, and design partners (pilot clients).
• Data Product — methodology, models, datasets, analytics, and rapid prototyping.
• Engineering — architecture, APIs, systems of record, delivery, and reliability.
• Sales & Monetization — a new [VP] role you will hire, driving pipeline development and sales execution.
• UX/UI Design — a new role you will hire, owning user flows and interface design.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Strategy & P&L
• Own overall commercial outcomes for IIX Fintech: P&L, revenue targets, budget, pricing, and unit economics
• Set commercial strategy, targets, and pricing; the Sales & Monetization lead drives pipeline development and sales execution against them
• Build and execute a 3–5 year growth strategy that positions IIX as a technology-driven player in impact finance
• Lead closing of strategic contracts with institutional clients, investors, and partners
• Scan the market continuously — strategy meetings, industry conferences, competitor tracking — to identify white spaces where IIX has a defensible value proposition
• Product Portfolio & Go-to-Market
• Take Proofloop and Capital OS from pilot to paying customers, including the flagship launch at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2027
• Run a product-led process: customer discovery first, then build — working backwards from customer problems, not internal specifications
• Require evidence of willingness to pay (such as design partner commitments, letters of intent, or paid pilots) before committing significant development resources
• Manage the product roadmap and prioritization with the Product Lead; recruit design partners to test new products
• Define pricing, packaging, and positioning for institutional buyers — investors, financial institutions, corporates, and development finance institutions
• Data Strategy & Monetization
• Build a shared data foundation (90,000+ MSME data points, impact verification data) that enables multiple products across IIX Fintech
• Pursue external data monetization only where there is a validated customer need
• Oversee methodology, models, and datasets with the Data Product team; ensure data privacy and compliance standards are met
• Embedding Product Thinking Across IIX
• Work with business unit leads to identify and package their own products and pilots, so product-led thinking is distributed across IIX
• Partner with Asset Management and Advisory to embed data and analytics into investment strategies, client reporting, and advisory solutions
• Engage IIX Institute as an integration partner on certification and training linked to IIX Values scoring
• Team Leadership
• Lead a distributed team spanning product, data, engineering, sales, and design
• Hire the Sales & Monetization lead and UX/UI Designer, and build the team as products scale
• Set team KPIs, operating rhythm, and a culture of rapid iteration, ownership, and learning from failure
• Balance support for existing platforms with protected capacity for new product development
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent aligned with IIX's mission and PREM values

What Success Looks Like

• First 90 days: Take over Proofloop and Capital OS; validate pricing with at least 3 target customers; hire the Sales & Monetization lead and UX/UI Designer; agree team KPIs and roadmap with leadership.
• 6 months: At least 2 design partners live on a priority product; sales pipeline built against agreed lead, pipeline-value, and conversion targets.
• 12 months: First signed revenue contracts; flagship product launched at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2027; repeatable product discovery process adopted by business units.

Experience & Skills

• Typically 15+ years across fintech, digital platforms, financial services, or technology businesses; we prioritize demonstrated commercial ownership, product execution, and technical fluency over tenure
• Proven track record of taking technology products to market and generating revenue, with P&L or revenue ownership; founder, co‑founder, or Chief Product Officer experience is a strong advantage
• A blend of structured corporate experience and startup or venture‑building experience
• Hands‑on understanding of the product and software development life cycle: discovery, roadmap, prototyping, release, and iteration
• B2B or enterprise sales to institutional buyers such as financial institutions, investors, DFIs, or governments
• Emerging markets experience in Southeast Asia, South Asia, or Africa, including navigating regulatory environments
• Experience leading distributed, multi‑country teams
• Product management and go‑to‑market strategy, including pricing and packaging
• Data strategy and data product design; working familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, BI tools) and AI/ML applications
• Strong grasp of UX/UI principles and user‑centered design
• Understanding of financial markets and ESG/impact measurement preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's is an advantage
